Our Story
BronnyB’s Neighborhood began with a simple walk around the block. One afternoon, while out with my dog LeBron — lovingly known as Bronny — I passed an empty lot and felt a spark of inspiration. What if this space could bring people together? What if our neighborhood had a regular event where families could gather, support local makers, and build real community connection?
When it came time to name the nonprofit, choosing Bronny’s name felt perfect. He has the biggest heart and loves nothing more than being around people — a true symbol of warmth, joy, and community. His spirit reflects exactly what we hope to create. And my niece Payton came up with the official Bronny B name.
When I shared the idea with my kids, ages 9 and 10, they immediately lit up. Their excitement, creativity, and genuine love for our neighborhood helped bring this dream to life. We jokingly call our conversations “board meetings,” often happening over dinner or during family drives — and my kids always show up with ideas, opinions, and plenty of enthusiasm.
My husband has also been an incredible support, generously lending his expertise whenever needed. And I am especially grateful for the friends who stepped up to join our board. Their dedication, guidance, and belief in this mission make everything possible. I truly couldn’t do any of this without them.
Together — as a family, as friends, and as a community — we’re building something we hope will last for years to come. BronnyB’s Neighborhood isn’t just a nonprofit; it’s a shared effort to create spaces where neighbors connect, kids feel inspired, and our community feels just a little bit closer.
